After being bereft of bagels for almost a year, I was ridiculously thrilled when my mum introduced me to the recipe for these morsels:
You can get the recipe here, and it is very easy to make with either white and whole wheat flour and without a bread machine (it's great therapy if you want to knead your frustrations out on the dough). I am dreaming of all possibilities: cinnamon brown sugar swirled bagels with raisins, basil pesto bagels, roasted garlic and sun-dried tomato bagels, dill and garlic bagels, poppy seed bagels, multi-grain bagels with sunflower seeds and whole oats, all-dressed bagels. And I never have to pine after bagels again, or buy them again! Yay!
